Erik Spohr - Lead Pastor / elder

Since January 2011 Erik Spohr has served as the lead pastor of Centerville Christian Fellowship (CCF). While his responsibilities vary, he provides primary leadership in the areas of preaching/teaching and vision in the church as well as leading the CCF ministry Team. Additionally, in his role as an Elder, he directs the church through prayer, leadership and discipleship.
Erik has a hunger for learning and teaching God’s Word with the goal that God's Kingdom work would be done as the church is built-up and equipped. His goal is not innovation, or originality, but rather to be faithful to the timeless teachings of Scripture, and their application today. His favorite Scripture verse is Galatians 2:20 -- “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Originally from Michigan, Erik enjoys cycling, running, reading, and eating Indian food. But most of all, Erik loves spending time with his wife, Tara, and their four children, Jackson, Anderson, Eliza, and Isabel.
Erik holds a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; a B.S. in Biblical Studies & Leadership from Cincinnati Christian University and a Certificate of Theological Studies from Ligonier Connect (A division of Ligonier Ministries). Outside of Scripture, some his favorite authors include: J.C. Ryle, Sinclair Ferguson, Jerry Bridges, John Piper, and Thomas Watson.
Gene Coleman - elder
Gene Coleman and his wife Wendy have been attending CCF since early 2017. They have been married for almost 40 years and have three children and seven grandchildren. They first met at a Christian fellowship meeting at N.C. State in 1976, shortly after they were eternally saved at separate times. He has worked in the electrical wire and cable business for most of the last 40 years, with his current employment being at Charlotte Wire and Cable. Gene enjoys sharing life with Wendy, which includes hiking, playing games, and traveling. He also enjoys disc golf and fishing. Some favorite Christian authors are C.S. Lewis, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and John Bunyan. Some favorite books of the Bible are Genesis, Daniel, Habakkuk, Gospel of John, Philippians, and Colossians.
Jeff Haymond - elder
Jeff Haymond also serves as an elder at CCF and has been attending since January 2011. He is married to Jennifer and they have three children: Amanda, Matthew, and Megan. Jeff is currently the Dean of the School of Business at Cedarville University and is a retired USAF Colonel. He earned his Ph.D in Economics from George Mason University, M.A. in Economics from The University of Denver, M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tennessee, B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the USAF Academy, Air War College, and Certificate of Public Leadership from The Brookings Institute. Jeff is originally from Plattsburgh, New York and enjoys economics, Biblical studies, old cars, and working with tools. He enjoys eating at In & Out Burger and reading books by J.R.R.Tolkien. His favorite Scripture verse is Romans 8:1.
Greg Meredith - elder
Greg Meredith has been attending since December 2012. He is married to Amy and they have four children: Henry, Evelyn, Archer, and Ezekiel. Greg is currently a Business Consultant at Brixey & Meyer and earned his M.B.A. from The Ohio State University and his B.S. in Business Administration from Miami University. Greg is originally from Bellbrook, Ohio and enjoys running, listening to podcasts, and watching NBA basketball. He loves to eat steak, pizza, brownies, cookies, and ice cream & enjoys reading books by A.W. Tozer. His favorite Scripture verses are Romans 12:1-2.
Ed vanderbush - Elder
Ed VanderBush has been attending CCF since the beginning of 2015. He is married to Missy, and they have three kids Leah, Gabe and Ben. Ed currently works in marketing at LexisNexis and earned an MBA from Wright State University and a BA in Marketing from Cedarville University. Ed is originally from southeast Pennsylvania and enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and working with tools. He enjoys most types of food, especially if he gets to smoke or grill it. He is currently enjoying reading books by Michael Reeves and Paul Tripp. One of his favorite scriptures is Jude 1:20-21.
Nick Rodgers - Associate Pastor (Family Ministry)

Nick Rodgers is the Family Ministry Pastor at CCF and joined our team in October 2014. He is married to Bethany and they have two children: Aaron and Andrew. Nick has a B.F.A. in Art Education and Painting from Tennessee Technological University. He is currently pursuing an MDiv at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Nick is originally from Cookeville, Tennessee and enjoys painting, playing and listening to worship music, playing the drums, ultimate frisbee & video games. He loves Mexican food and reading books by John Piper, Matt Chandler, & Charles Spurgeon. Nick has a passion for cultivating relationships with youth and walking with them through their spiritual growth and maturity in Christ. His favorite Scripture passage is 1 Peter 1:3-12.
nick rundlett - associate pastor (Discipleship)
Nick Rundlett joined the CCF team in September 2017 as Associate Pastor. He and his wife, Joyce, have been married since 2008 and they have one son, Noah. Nick grew up in Michigan and loves all things Michigan, including Detroit sports teams and the University of Michigan. Nick has a B.A. from Clarks Summit University (formerly Baptist Bible College) and an M.A. from Shepherds Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing an MDiv. at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Nick enjoys running, reading, and spending time with his wife and son. He has been greatly influenced by pastors and writers such as Charles Spurgeon, Paul David Tripp, Jonathan Edwards and J.I. Packer.
Chris Bernstein - Pastoral Assistant-Administrator
Chris joined the CCF team in July of 2017. He and his wife, Reagan have been married since 2015. He is currently pursuing his B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Boyce College at Southern Seminary. Chris enjoys reading, disc golf, and bowling. His ministry and life have been influenced by pastors and authors like J.I. Packer, Heath Lambert, Jim Hamilton, and Paul David Tripp.
marie cargill - Children's ministry director
Marie has been serving in leadership with the CCF Children's Ministry since the summer of 2016. Marie and her husband, Clint, started attending CCF in February 2015 and have two children: Caleb and Caitlyn. She earned her B.A. in Early Childhood Education and Christianity from Houston Baptist University. Marie is originally from Asheboro, North Carolina and enjoys watching movies, reading, and going on hikes. She enjoys Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food and books by Dr. Seuss, William Faulkner, and Biblical authors. Her favorite Scripture verse is Deuteronomy 31:8.
GEORGE DEAN - TREASURER
George serves as the treasurer at CCF and started attending in January 2002. He is married to Dina and works as a Senior Accountant at Synchrony Financial. He earned his B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Franklin University and received his Bank Audit Certification from The University of Wisconsin. George is originally from Columbus, Ohio and enjoys playing sports and traveling. He loves eating steak and his favorite authors are those of the Bible. His favorite Scripture verse is Romans 10:9.
Matthew Thornburg - Worship leader
Matt is the worship leader at CCF and joined our staff in April 2015. He is married to Jody and they have two children: Beck and Ridge. He currently works with Post Default Mortgage Servicing at PNC Mortgage and earned his B.A. in Music from Cedarville University. Matt is originally from Springfield, Ohio and enjoys coffee and watching Reds baseball. He loves to eat cheeseburgers and anything to do with chocolate & peanut butter. Some of his favorite authors include Tim Keller, Francis Chan, and Elmore Leonard. His favorite Scripture verse is Zephaniah 3:17.
